Book Decoration and Musical Notation
The borders of the recto and verso contain illuminated rinceaux on three sides superimposed over eachother. Both also contain a small illuminated initial "A" in Ave, followed in the next line by a larger illuminated initial "Et". On the recto additional rinceaux sprout from the initials. Incomplete lines contain a bar design. The skin side is visibly on the recto, the hair the verso.
